Why does pricing and availability vary in different retail establishments?

As a manufacturer, Zapf Creation cannot determine the amount of product a retailer orders, nor do we have any input as to the pricing these retailers place on our products. Once a retailer purchases product from Zapf Creation, they may sell it at whatever price point they choose. Additionally, these same retailers determine availability, in that they decide how much of each Zapf Creation product they will purchase from us and how and when product will be placed on the shelves for resale to the consumer.

Cleaning of ANY and ALL vinyl dolls

Acne Cream (Clearasil, Oxy-10) will treat most paints as though they are stains and will remove them, or at least bleach them.  Keep the cream away from painted areas on any plastic doll.  However, the unpainted parts will not be bleached by the cream because of the type of pigments used to colour the vinyl during manufacturing.

These pigments are mineral-based and are mixed into the vinyl before moulding so the vinyl is coloured throughout.  If you are nervous about applying cream on your doll to remove the stain, do a test patch on it first, in an inconspicuous place, to make sure it does not leave a bleached spot.

What is the difference between the old and the New BABY born®?

1) The advantage of the New BABY born® is that the doll can also be taken into the bathtub, the swimming pool or the sea for swimming. So girls can continue playing with the New BABY born® without the interruption (which was previously required) of drying the doll. This has been made possible because the joints between the flexible parts (head, arms and legs) and the body of the new BABY born® have been made waterproof and yet they remain as flexible as they were previously. In addition, the eyes, mouth and the outlet opening have likewise been made waterproof.

2) The other 7 functions are exactly the same as before: BABY born® is able to drink, soil its nappies, eat, use its potty, cry, squeal and is completely flexible. In addition, the New BABY born® can now also sit on its own.

How does Love me CHOU CHOU enter the sleep mode?

The doll can only enter the sleep mode if it is in the “Automatic random-principle play sequence”. (Also see the instructions for use: 2. Automatic play sequence of the doll with the random principle.)

In this play sequence, the child mothering the doll must discover, among other things, why Love me CHOU CHOU is crying. The doll can then be comforted again either with the bottle, the dummy or the little bear security blanket.

Love me CHOU CHOU is only able to enter the sleep mode if it reacts to the little bear security blanket. If the child mothering the doll places the head of the little bear on the blanket on the appliqué of the playsuit, Love me CHOU CHOU begins to laugh with delight. The random principle means that it is possible that Love me CHOU CHOU may become tired and yawn. This is where the sleep mode begins. The dummy must now be pushed firmly into the mouth until a sucking noise can be heard. Love me CHOU CHOU then falls asleep.

How can I clean Love me CHOU CHOU’s face?

Love me CHOU CHOU’s facial skin is made using the new, innovative material TPE (Thermal Plastic Elastomer). The material is softer than PVC and therefore feels particularly natural. Its high degree of elasticity also means that the facial movements appear very realistic and Love me CHOU CHOU can even express different “feelings”. These material characteristics mean that the doll’s face is also more sensitive. We therefore recommend that Love me CHOU CHOU’s face be cleaned gently with a lint-free cloth, lukewarm water and a mild hand soap. Then wipe down the face with clear water and dry it off. It is very important that you use a lint-free cloth and in the process do not rub or press on too hard!

In addition, all My Model products conform to the European cosmetics regulations and girls can thus quite safely also use them for themselves
